How it started
From the trail to the cutting table.
The idea behind Bearfit: sportswear made with as little plastic as possible – and built to last as long as possible.

The roots
Outside is where it started
Hiking, sailing, skiing, cycling – being out in nature is what drives us. It made us want to create products that last as long as possible – pieces we'd happily take into the places we love.

2018
Stumbling upon TENCEL™
More or less by chance, we came across TENCEL™ Lyocell – a fibre made from wood. That was the moment the idea was born: bring our passion for different sports together with functional sportswear.

Development
Our own cuts, tested in training
We started drafting our own cuts and construction patterns, tried out different fabrics and put every prototype through its paces in our own workouts – then improved it and tested it again.

Made in our own hands
Production has been in our own hands from day one, and we keep refining it: carefully selected high-quality yarns, improved print materials and functional details – like cuts that give your arms more freedom of movement and at the same time leave fewer fabric offcuts.

Respecting our planet
Resources are limited. Our choices count.
Every everyday choice has an effect on the climate – ours included. That's why we look at every step of making sportswear, from fibre to finished piece, and decide where we can do better.

Our TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres are made from wood – a renewable raw material.

Recycled where it works
Where it makes sense for the product, we use recycled materials – and name them on the product page.

Using our offcuts
Cuts are planned to leave fewer fabric scraps, and the offcuts we do have are collected for recycling.

We produce in small runs in Berlin, so we make what's needed – and keep every step in view.
